Gardham Wold Landscapes delivered the landscaping works for an 86,000 sq ft sustainable unit at the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) in Rotherham, creating a high-quality external environment that complements the building’s sustainable design.
The project included extensive tree planting, with urban trees installed in car park areas using specified cell systems to protect roots and promote healthy growth. Advanced heavy standard trees were planted in soft landscape areas, secured with underground tying systems to ensure long-term stability. Shrub planting was carried out throughout the site, alongside boundary planting with mixed native hedging and structural evergreen hedges to provide year-round screening and definition.
Sustainable seeding formed a key part of the landscaping, including specified wildflower meadows, shade-tolerant mixe and flowering lawns - bringing seasonal colour and supporting biodiversity. Hydroseeding was also applied to embankments, both to reinforce soil structure and to encourage wildlife habitats.
The completed scheme delivers a visually striking, functional, and environmentally sustainable setting for the industrial unit, enhancing the site for staff, visitors, and the surrounding community.
